Digital Marketing
for the Arts
I’ll arrange your marketing so you caN SPEND MORE TIME MAKING ART!
I spent 20 years in leadership positions in galleries, museums, and community arts organizations. I loved helping artists find their voice and share it with others. However, I felt limited by the walls of brick and mortar and wanted to focus on the visibility social media provides.
As I became a full-time artist, I found the changing atmosphere and conflicting tips regarding social media marketing exhausting for myself and my peers. I knew it shouldn’t be this way. I used my Arts Management degree and professional experience, to approach social media from a different direction. I developed a method to manage it from a perspective that is scaleable, goal centered, budget friendly, healthy and best of all artistically balanced. I experienced success with my social media strategy and have since applied these skills to assist other artists and arts organizations manage their social media accounts. Social media is constantly evolving, let me get your marketing up to speed so you can focus on making art!

Artist Statement
My work provides an optimistic view of technology’s role in shaping our identity and relationships with each other.
The subjects are strangers to me, just as they are to the viewer of the finished work. Being a visual artist, I use my eyes to learn about the person, and in the process find commonalities between us.
Knitting (a form of binary code) is included because of its continuous flow of fibers that mirrors our interconnectedness as people.
These pieces are created using new and old machines. Incorporating technology in the process reflects my life with metal implants; as I am a balance between organic and inorganic so should my art.

I believe in art and the power of the creative energy that resides in each of us. People of all ages, races, abilities, sexual orientation, gender, and gender expression are welcome here. Our earth and its lifeforms are our shared responsibility to protect and preserve. I strive to reflect these beliefs in the content I create but also recognize that I have a lot to learn.
The Dartily studio is located in Oak Park, IL; this area is the traditional homelands of the council of three fires: The Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Odawa Nations. The Sac, Fox, Myaamia, Ho-Chuck, Sioux, and Menominee have also called this area home. I recognize and respect the contributions these Nations have made both artistically and otherwise on the land my studio resides and the surrounding areas.
